Help Rizzo Beat Cancer (Nailor Family)

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rizzo. I am a 4 1/2 year old rescue puppers. My siblings and I were discarded on the side of the road when we were just weeks old. I was taken in by a foster family, until I found my forever family. My family adopted me when I was 9 weeks old. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with Oral Melanoma a few weeks ago. I have since undergone one surgery to remove the mass and two teeth. I was seen at the VCA Oncology department in Madison, WI, where I underwent a CT scan so we could get more information. I am a very sweet boy. I love playing with my brother Hondo and taking car rides with my family. I love to run around and play. I love to take walks and runs with my mom and dad. I still get a little scared of storms, but I have a special place in the basement by my brother Jordan that I feel safe. I love greeting everyone at the door when they come to visit. My mom and dad both work full time jobs and make a decent living. Unfortunately, this is a very unexpected cost for them, and they want to do the best they can for me to live a full life. My family does have some money set aside but will not be able to cover all costs required for my treatment.

Our dog Rizzo means the world to us! We lost our dog Rock when he was 13 1/2 years old and it was very difficult for us. We adopted Rizzo a very short time after this loss, he helped our hearts heal and move on from losing Rock. Anyone that knows our family, knows how much our dogs mean to us. They go everywhere that we can take them! There are very few times that you will see me without them! Our family has had a difficult few years. Most of you know about our son Jordan's diagnosis of Marfan Syndrome and him having to undergo a life-saving major heart surgery a few years ago. His condition comes with many specialties, doctors' appointments, and costs. Rich and I both make a decent living and work full-time, but these costs continue to add up on us. We do have a small rainy-day fund but will unfortunately not even come close to covering Rizzo's unexpected vet bills. Surgery is the #1 option recommended by the oncologist but will cost between $7,000 and $9,000. If we do a vaccine after (which is encouraged, to help prevent any future issues) this will be another $4,000. He has already undergone one surgery and oncology appointment/evaluation. They did a CT at this appointment. They told us that there is only a very small area remaining after the first surgery, it has not spread at this time, we caught it early and he should have a very good outcome with the surgery. If we did not get the surgery, we would only have a few short months with him. This type of cancer spreads very quickly and if we don't get all of the remaining cancer out, the prognosis is very poor. I debated for quite some time about starting this fund, but I feel that I have to put my pride aside of my baby and make sure that he gets the best treatment and has the best full life that he can! He is a member of our family and we all love him very much. We want to do the absolute best thing we can for him. Rich and I would never ask for help, unless it was one of the last options. We could really use the help! Please do not feel obligated to give and know that anything is greatly appreciated and WILL go directly to Rizzo expenses!!
