Students at Riverside Applied Learning Center voiced a concern during the first week of school. They explained the need for goal setting to increase academic achievement, as well as, a need to increase academic motivation. They wanted an opportunity to experience the real world through stem, makers space, VR technology, robotics, and kinesthetic activities. Ms. Hazen and Mr. Mills guided them through persuasive writing, and the need to revise and edit. Mrs. Sanchez guided them through their planning using inductive and deductive thinking strategies. Mrs. Boatright supported students with goal setting and goal achievement in both math and reading. Students are ready to move forward, but funds are needed.
