Hello everyone :) River, Grace and Scott here.

In October 2023, we learned that River had developed kidney disease and a mammary tumor that had begun to spread to her lymph nodes. In the time since these devastating diagnoses, she has undergone surgery to remove the tumor, as well as five rounds of chemotherapy, and an emergency overnight hospitalization.

Now, in November of 2024, the vet found another lump growing and performed an x-ray, ultrasound and biopsy. This turned out to be an enlarged lymph node with cancer cells, as the cancer has been slowly spreading. River's Oncologist came to us with a treatment plan that includes Palladia pills 3x/week (Palladia is an anticancer drug that prevents cells from dividing and stops blood vessels from growing within tumors) and monthly check ups to monitor River.

We know River has been so well loved by everyone in our lives, and we appreciate any contribution if you are able to do so at this time. All donations will go directly toward our veterinary bills, debt accrued over the past year and to ensure she's able to get the best possible care.
