Every year, I prepare for a slow season to my mehndi business from November to January. But unfortunately, I could never have prepared for the situation we've all found ourselves in.
With all of my clients being forced to cancel, all streams of income ceased to exist for Ritual by Design. On top of that, this month I relocated into a new apartment for the first time in almost ten years. Needless to say, it's been a perfect storm of expenditures without income, and I'm feeling stretched thin.
The most pressing payment I face is for rent at my ActivSpace studio. Many of you have experienced my space and shared in the magic, and more than anything I want to keep that magic alive. Sadly, ActivSpace administration is doing nothing to help myself or the other small businesses who are still waiting on government relief during this time. I was informed this week that I have until April 10th to submit my full rent, otherwise I face a late fee which amounts to $100 per day.
Your support in helping me cover the costs of maintaining my studio during this very hectic and difficult time would mean the world to me. I'm also working to maintain my online shop and organize online classes during this time, and those initiatives come with expenses of their own.
My thoughts are with my community right now, and any artists or entrepreneurs who are facing similar struggles. Truly, anything helps as I navigate this new reality.

-Creamy spicy and flavorful golden curry full of lush vegetables topped with cilantro.
Why call it California curry? Because it has Kale!

-delicate basmati rice with green peas and whole spices (V,GF)
REFRESHING SALAD
- greens, tomatoes, cucumber, dill and olive oil dressing (V,GF)

-sweet milky vermicilli noodles with golden rasins, dates, almonds, cardamon and rose water (DEF not V,GF... sorry)
$420 - 3HR HENNA SERVICES AT EVENT or 3 HR PRIVATE APPOINTMENT (usually $500)
- Get a full sleeve, extra large body design or both your hands and feet done.
-Also welcome to split this appointment between two people.
