Today, I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support since I’m having a situation that I never imagined I would have to carry, with someone who means the world to me: Rita.

Rita is so much more than my dog. She is my family, my best friend, and my constant companion. She has been by my side through life’s happiest moments and its hardest ones, always giving me unconditional love.

Recently, Rita was at home — in the place where she was supposed to be safest. She tried to get in to the couch, something she had done a many times before. And suddenly, she screamed. Her body froze, her head twisted, and she could no longer move her back legs.

One ordinary moment changed everything. this accident caused a lumbosacral disc herniation, leaving her unable to use her back legs.

She has been fighting every single day. She needs ongoing neurological care and rehabilitation to give her the best possible chance of standing and walking.

Spinal injuries are brutal, and their treatment is incredibly expensive. Emergency veterinary care, specialist consultations, imaging, medication, and rehabilitation therapy sessions are adding up fast, We've had to seek out the best specialized care available to give her a real shot at recovery, wherever that meant going.

I'm asking for generosity because I refuse to give up on her while she's still fighting this hard.
