Help Rita Rebuild After Tornado Loss

Donation protected
On May 2025, a devastating tornado struck St. Louis, MO, destroying the home of my mother Rita Henderson. My mother has lived in her house for over 53 years, filling it with memories, family treasures, and irreplaceable keepsakes. Among the many things lost were cherished photos, furniture, and special gifts from her late brother and sister. The home itself is more than just a building—it's a historical landmark, the same house that Homer G. Phillips lived in. Located in the Ville area, which holds deep meaning not just for her but for her family and the community.

My mother's immediate focus is to rebuild her home and restore a sense of stability after this tragedy. She also needs clothing and new medical equipment, as everything was lost in the storm. My mother is known as a pillar of her community; everyone calls her “mom,” and she has always been there to help and support her neighbors. Her kindness and generosity have touched countless lives, and now she needs help to recover from this unimaginable loss.

By supporting this fundraiser, you’ll help Rita rebuild her home, replace essential items, and regain the comfort and security she’s provided to so many others. Every contribution brings her one step closer to restoring her life and the heart of her neighborhood.
