Help Rita Overcome Cancer's Challenges

My name is Connie and I am reaching out to ask for your help for my sister Rita. She is the person who brings laughter and ongoing support to any situation. She is always there for anyone and puts them above herself in times of need. She is not only an amazing sister, but also a caring mom, grandmother, daughter, and aunt. Sadly, Rita is the third in our family to fall victim to cancer. On March 13th, Rita went in for a breast ultrasound and from there they scheduled a biopsy for further testing. The biopsy showed a papillary carcinoma and DCIS in situ. Due to this diagnosis, surgery was to follow. On April 15th, Rita went in for surgery. All went well, but she did have to take a week off from work. On Monday, April 28th, she went to her follow-up appointment. She learned that when they got in there to remove the cancer, two other different types of cancer were found as well. Fortunately, two were in situ and non-invasive, but one was not in situ, meaning they hadn't spread. The doctor was able to remove all the cancers, but the breast is full of precancerous cells. Now she will be discussing further treatments with an oncologist. As of now, it is looking like two weeks of daily radiation along with Aromatase inhibitors for 5-10 years or possibly a lifetime.
