Hello friends and family, some of you may have heard the unfortunate news that on Thursday Feb. 10 my aunt Rita’s housing complex caught fire that started in the upstairs unit. They all were told they have only days to completely vacate the property for it is now deemed unlivable. With her landlord not having other available properties and the area being difficult to find a reasonably priced rental this has brought on a lot of stress on our family as a whole. For those who personally know my Aunt Rita you know how much joy she brings to everyone. No matter the circumstance she is always kind, positive, and will give even when she has nothing. She has a heart of gold and is the realest, baddest chola I’ve ever known!!
Rita and my cousins have been left without a home due to this tragic event, and the American Red Cross is only covering a few more days stay at a local motel. Many of their personal items are not salvageable and they are having difficulty looking for a new rental property that can house their family. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers. For those who have been asking how they can help, we are asking for any size donation you can manage to help get them back on their feet. Your support means the world to our family and we appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of love.
