Help Rita Chodor Get Back on Her Feet!

My name is Karen Steiger, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my good friend, Rita Chodor. If you know her, you know what a kind, loyal, funny, and dedicated person she is. As you may know, Rita was laid off several months ago after working for the same company for five and a half years and has had a hard time finding a new job.

This has led to a serious financial crisis, and she is facing eviction, finding a new home, and paying for out-of-pocket medical expenses, car payments, and new glasses for driving, reading, and working—all while she continues to look for work. This has caused her significant emotional distress, and it's been hard for her to talk about this situation and seek assistance. I hope that we—Rita's family, friends, and friends of friends—can help her get back on her feet. A gift in any amount would be so greatly appreciated! I strongly feel that many of us are just a bad day away from being in a similar position, and we're all in this together.
