Rita Rudd's Road to Recovery

This fundraiser is for Rita Rudd, one of the sweetest, kindest & funniest person I know. 

 In March 2021 Rita started noticing rectal bleeding. By May it had gotten worse. As we all know this is not normal. Rita made an appt to see a doctor to have a colonoscopy. On May 14th of this year, Rita was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. Rita has chose to go to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL for treatment. Rita received the results from her MRI and CT scan last month from Moffitt,  which showed no other lesions. Thank the lord for that. The tumor in the colon is a T2, which means is has gone into the colon muscle wall. She does have some diverticulitis around the area of the tumor so when they do the surgery they will have to take a little more colon to get that as well. They will do lymph node sampling at that time to check to see if any cancer cells have went to any nodes. She will have to wait for the pathology on them to determine if chemo or radiation will happen.

Rita is scheduled for a Laparscopic Colon Resection w/ staging on July 29, 2021 @ Moffitt Cancer Center. 

 As we all know the bills for cancer and its treatments are astronomical! Rita has always helped the people around her, as she is in the healthcare field, that is what she loves to do. Now is the time for us to help her and Ricky. The money raised will go toward Rita's treatment cost that insurance does not cover, travel to and from Tampa and help offset any unforeseen expenses.
