Rising Phoenix Homes is a small business based out of Boise, Idaho with plans to open a manufacturing warehouse in Oregon in Mid-2021 to assist with building needed infrastructure in the region. In September of 2020, the four founders of RPH, were impacted amid the global pandemic with the extreme housing market. As home and rental prices climbed it became even more difficult to find affordable and reliable housing. They started to develop their own concept to help dissolve the problem by building efficient and reliable shipping container homes and shelters. RPH has the goal and determination to be a front runner for changing the housing industry.
Our product is environmentally friendly, energy efficient, low cost, and designed to assist with overcoming the needs of low-income, very low-income, and no-income housing. Our company works closely with state and local government agencies, private and public organizations, as well as local investors and landowners to provide reliable solutions to the housing shortfalls Oregon currently faces.
Our mission is to provide adequate and reliable long-term solutions for all classifications of people looking for and needing reliable housing options. RPH has a core value of providing housing solutions for everyone and we make no exceptions based on race, gender, cultural background, social or economic background, religion, or political affiliation. With the understanding that these cultural diversities make people unique, we have designed this company to not only provide adequate shelter for people, but also to help them rise from their current situation through extended community support.
Our Product
Rising Phoenix Homes understands that there is a delicate balance between cost, quality, efficiency, and sustainability when it comes to building homes and shelters. While there are many different designs available these days from very reputable companies, we have developed our own design and concept using reusable shipping containers that utilize renewable natural resources and offer simplistic and expandable customization. This paired with our building technique simplifies the process ensuring each home or shelter is affordable and reliable. RPH plans to partner with building material companies that offer products made from renewable resources and/or recycled/upcycled material. All our designs can be built as a single unit or make for easily replicated and expanded neighborhood concepts. RPH is going further when it comes to marketing strategy by being able to build homes and shelters that can be ADA certified. Our building process is designed specifically to be time and cost efficient which gives us an advantage in production rates and completion timeframes. Some other key points about our company and design are:
· Focused on solving Oregon’s homelessness/low-income issue that accounts for 2% of national homeless population.
· Current design portfolio ranges from single-family homes (1-3 bed) to community living alternatives.
· Easily customizable designs to fit specific needs of anyone to include those with ADA needs.
· Company goals include working within communities through volunteer work, charitable donations, and hiring local labor to provide jobs within community.
· Industry leading product that is reliable, efficient, environmentally friendly, and most importantly, affordable for all projects.
Where We Are
Rising Phoenix Homes' determination to get through obstacles has brought us many blessings. During the first trials of the business proposal and getting funding, an opportunity to submit for a project in Portland, Oregon was present to RPH after consistent contact to local and state officials. RPH knew we had to the perfect opportunity to help in a major way with homelessness, so we created a new concept for Portland to house over 2,000 people while providing much needed necessities.
Through hard work and dedication to our cause, we have been approved for a loan by the bank. Funds raised would go directly towards upfront capital needed in order to obtain the loan. While RPH continues to work with city and state officials, as well as private landowners and organizations, Oregon’s housing issue continues to grow more urgent. RPH is currently seeking startup funding in the total amount of $110,000, through donations or an investment, to obtain the business loan needed to begin building much needed infrastructure. This funding would give the ability for RPH to start building adequate affordable housing options and help put our company in the place to provide the proper assistance to the homeless and low-income populations. This in turn will maximize the potential for individuals to rise from their current situations.
