Help RIPPLE grow to better serve our community.

Recovery Innovations for Pursuing Peer Leadership and Empowerment, Inc. (Ripple) serves Connecticut as a resource for those living with mental health or addiction challenges. We are a small group of people with lived experience using what we have learned along in our own recovery to help others.

Ripple is staffed by certified Recovery Support Specialists who currently volunteer their time to support those who are struggling. We became legally incorporated in 2020 as the Covid-19 pandemic hit, shortly after Ripple was recognized as a non profit organization by the Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service.

The goal of this fundraiser is to cover the costs of our web hosting which will allow our site, RockingRecovery.org continue to operate. We are proud to have our site is listed as a resource by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

RockingRecovery.org is made up of over 170 pages and has taken over 800 hours of work to get to where we are now. This site was created and is maintained by peers in recovery. Our goal is to build a place where peers and providers can come for information, education, and inspiration. Currently we list more than 1090 resource links leading to more than 1,640 programs, services, and information that can aid professionals, peer supporters, recovery coaches, or people in need to quickly find helpful resources.

Ripples late night peer support group meets three times a week and has been operational since September 15, 2020. When the pandemic hit many people were experiencing depression, anxiety, fear, loneliness, and in several cases suicidal ideation. We knew that a lot of people who struggle have the hardest times at night when there is no one around to talk to. The two trained co-hosts of this group have each logged over 400 hours each on our Zoom platform and hours more with direct one on one support, one call alone lasting close to 11 hours.

To date Ripple has received just $519.72 in donations since our incorporation. The initial cost of filing fees, web hosting, the Zoom account, and legal expenses were all covered by the volunteers within our group. We believe in what we are doing, we know that we have the power to create change and improve lives. This fund raiser will ensure we can continue to do so. Anything raised above our goal will be used to improve existing efforts and to expand the services we are able to offer.
