Hi, my name is Rip. Nine weeks ago I suffered a bad fall resulting in a Broken Femur at the Subtrochanteric Area (a break that is difficult to treat and heal). With Go Fund Me help, I had surgery performed by IMSS, the Mexican Health System, followed by 9 weeks of recovery. The surgery performed by IMSS was not done correctly (it may be a reflection of available materials as opposed to the surgeon’s skills) and now, after 9 weeks, there is zero evidence of proper healing.

What is so demoralizing and crushing is to think I spent all this money and went through all this pain and all of this recovery with all its associated costs, all for nothing. Just unbelievable.

The only options are spending the rest of my life in a wheelchair or having surgery redone at Hospital Joya, a private hospital.

In addition to the actual surgical cost, I will have about 8 weeks of post-surgery costs, including home care, bed rental, follow-up consultations, personal hygiene supplies, x-rays, etc.

I have no spouse, partner, or family. That is why I need to post this. So many people have already been so generous with me already, it is extremely difficult to ask again.
