Friends, I am starting a GFM for sweet friends, Dana and her petkids.

Dana is one of those people who quietly does so much good for the dog community. She’s a dedicated dog mom, a rescuer, and always the first to help when someone or some pup is in need. She’s rescued five lucky pups and treats them like royalty. Now, a couple of those babies need our help.

Last week, Dana and her family attended a dog event in Scottsdale, and shortly after, two of her dogs, Riot and his sister Taffy, became seriously ill. The vets believe it was due to a food sample given out at the event.

On Friday, April 5th, Riot’s condition became critical. Dana called me heartbroken and overwhelmed. After multiple vet visits, tests, and even surgery, they found no blockage—but did have to drain severe fluid buildup caused by gastroenteritis. Then on Saturday, April 6th, Taffy, Riot’s sweet 12-year-old sister, started showing the same symptoms. Given her age and more delicate health, we’re especially hoping for a gentle and speedy recovery.

The vet bills are adding up fast, and while Dana would never ask for help, we wanted to show up for her the way she’s shown up for so many.
