Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a very heavy heart to ask for help for my sweet baby, Rinky. As many of you may know Rinky was a dog sitting client of mine when he was just 3 months old. He was then gifted to me when he was 9 months old.

A week ago, Rinky was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) — a painful and serious spinal condition that can cause paralysis if not treated quickly.

Despite pain medications and emergency care, Rinky’s condition worsened. Today, November 12th 2025, he spent the morning crying out in pain, and struggling to stand even after taking his prescribed medication. I rushed him to MASH (Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital) for urgent treatment, and after evaluation, the vets said that emergency back surgery is his best chance to walk again.

The surgery and post-op care are expected to cost around $12,367, which is way more than we can manage on our own. If you know Steph and I then you know how much our pets mean to us. Our entire lives revolve around them — Rinky is our baby, our little shadow, and the most loving, goofy companion we could ever ask for. He’s brought so much joy, comfort, and laughter into our lives, and we just want to give him the same chance to live happily and pain-free again.
