In less than one month my twin sister’s life has changed forever, Rina has been diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma, Stage 4 aggressive lung cancer.

After living a happy, healthy 55yrs as a wife, mother of three, and dedicated early childhood educator, Rina’s life has been turned upside down. Within 3 weeks Rina has been admitted to hospital and undergone multiple tests, soon to be beginning treatment with a prognosis of 6-12 months. The news has devasted her beautiful husband and children, family, work colleagues, and friends.

Rina has been working in the childcare industry since 1997. She is gentle, kind and has developed inspiring relationships with many children and families over the years. Rina has been a pillar of the Star Kingdom Early Education community since it first opened 10 years ago and is deeply loved by many of the children and families of whom she has provided many dedicated years of care. Rina’s husband Christos is a hardworking father and husband who is unable to take time off work during this difficult time. He is currently working to compensate for the income lost through Rina’s time off work.

Rina has been there for so many of us on so many occasions, and now we need to be there for her. Let's do all we can to raise some much-needed funds for our amazing Rina in her time of need. Those who know Rina can attest to her kind, selfless and generous heart. I could not let my twin sister go through this difficult time alone so I decided we will do it together just like everything else we have done before...you are a fighter and we will fight together.
