My name is Erin McCormick and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend, Rima. I live in New Brunswick, Canada.

Rima’s Story in her own words

Rima, 30 years old- “ I had finished my studies at the university in the medical imaging department and got first place in my university. I got married and started working in more than one place. I used to work day and night to help my family because in Gaza it is very difficult to get job opportunities, and if I got a job, the salary was low. It is not enough to support my family, even with my husband working. Because Gaza was besieged by this war, there is only a little money. We lived through many wars before and they were similar to the ones we live in today, but not to this extent.
We were managing, and my husband was able to build the warm house with the help of his father. He is a heart patient and we were barely able to build that small, safe house. Everything was a great achievement for us... Then the war came and literally took everything... and we lost a lot... The house, of course, was completely destroyed... We lost our source of income... We lost the past and the future, unfortunately...”
Rima and her family fled amidst the gunfire, taking very few belongings with them.

Rima has a 9 month old daughter, who has spent her time on earth surviving the war around her, as well as her husband, Basil. Their family is desperately seeking donations to contribute to the cost of medical supplies, food, water, milk for her daughter, and other necessities. The living conditions they are in are deplorable and inhumane. Living in Deir Albalah, Rima and her family struggle every day just to survive. Please help me in providing support for them during these very difficult times.
