Many of us who care about Riley and her family have been asking how we can support them after her recent accident. While Riley is healing and already back at work and college, losing her car has created a big challenge for everyone at home. Riley helps a lot with her younger siblings and transportation, so being without a vehicle has put extra strain on the whole family.

The accident was a frightening six-car collision caused by an uninsured driver who hit her from behind and caused a chain reaction. We’re beyond grateful she wasn’t more seriously hurt, but the financial impact has been huge. Her first car, the one her mom worked so hard to pay off and save for her, was completely totaled. And because the at-fault driver had no insurance, replacing it now falls on Riley and her family. Riley’s mom is also in school right now and simply can’t afford to buy another car for her. Riley is working and attending college herself, but she doesn’t have the savings to replace the vehicle with anything comparable.

Without a car, getting to work, school, and helping her family has become incredibly difficult. Her parents and siblings are juggling schedules, sharing rides, and doing everything they can, but it has taken a toll on all of them. This fundraiser is just a way for those of us who care to help ease some of that pressure. Every contribution will go toward helping Riley get a safe, reliable car so she can continue working, stay on track in college, and support her family the way she always has.
