Hello! Many of you may know me online as Kit but my real name is Riley, and I am a trans woman. I am on the path to get my first gender affirming surgery!! On January 30th, 2026 I had my intake to get top surgery (breast augmentation).

From the second I got the call to set up the intake and got to meet my surgeon, I was floored with excitement. However, it was not lost on me that this procedure was very dicey on the financial side of things.

My insurance company, since top surgery is seen as an elective surgery, is only paying for a small chunk of the procedure even with two letters of recommendation, which means I have a lot more to cover. On top of the surgery costs, I am also going to need time away from work which will result in me losing my income for a small period of time (4-6 weeks) thus leaving me without rent and bill money.

I will be purchasing medically necessary supplies to help the recovery go as smooth as possible. Things like front-closure compression tops/sports bras, extra bandages, medicine, and some things for proper hygiene to keep the healing areas clean and taken care of.

That is why I am creating this GoFundMe to help cover surgery costs, meds costs, and to help keep me afloat while I recover.
