Riley, a dedicated student entering his second year at KU, has always been drawn to big questions and deep thinking. His passion for religious studies and philosophy has led him to pursue several research projects, and he’s constantly seeking new ways to expand his understanding. This semester, Riley has been accepted into a unique program with the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, which will take him to Vrindavan, India. There, he’ll have the chance to visit significant religious sites and temples, learning about Hindu culture firsthand in ways that simply aren’t possible through books alone.

Riley discovered this opportunity through his love of podcasts focused on philosophy and religion. After hearing about the program, he applied and was thrilled to be selected. The experience promises not only to deepen his academic knowledge but also to help him build valuable connections in a very specialized field. This trip is a rare chance for Riley to immerse himself in the culture he studies, and it could open doors for his future studies and career.
