Help Riley & Sparx Move to a Safer Place
Hi! We are two trans women named Riley and Sparx. Recently, it has become increasingly hostile for us to continue living in the southern part of America. Most notably, Riley has lost her long-time job due to the mounting pressures she has to face with living in a part of the country that treats queer people like second-class citizens. Sparx has had little to no luck finding permanent employment because of the lack of accepting spaces that cater to trans people. Both of us have been met with bigotry, disregard for our identities and an overall negative experience while simply trying to exist.
Together we are trying to move to a safer part of the country where we can thrive with like-minded people (the Pacific NorthWest) and explore a more accepting job pool to make a better living.
This is, unfortunately a last resort decision as both of us have exhausted our resources available to continue living here without either starving or becoming entirely homeless.
Any amount of donation will help us with truck rental / packing / fuel costs / and the overall fees associated with starting a lease with pets / first months rent. If you are unable to donate, please do not stretch beyond any means that will put you in any kind of peril. Thank you so much for hearing our story, and we have all the hope in the world that this will go smoothly! :)
