On August 2025, my sister Riley experienced a devastating loss when her beloved horse, Box C RL Sweetheart—affectionately known as RL—tragically passed away in a barn fire. RL was more than just a horse to Riley; they shared a bond that spanned 19 years, growing together through countless rides, competitions, and quiet moments. The fire not only took RL, but also destroyed all of Riley’s essential tack and supplies, including her saddle, saddle pad, bridles, halters, leads, and the boots she wore every day. These items held deep sentimental value and were a part of her daily life with RL.

Riley is heartbroken, as RL was truly like a child to her. The loss has left her devastated, and the financial burden of replacing her tack and covering the cost of RL’s cremation has added to her pain.
