Riley is a bright, funny 9-year-old who brings so much joy to our family. She loves swimming in the pool, gaming with her sister, and playing Roblox. Despite her energy and positive spirit, Riley has faced serious health challenges since birth. She was born with a rare heart condition where her valves developed on the wrong side of her heart. This has made it difficult for her to keep up with other kids her age—she often has to stop and catch her breath, and she’s always a little short of breath, even when doing the things she loves.
Riley has already undergone surgery to have a pacemaker put in, but now she needs another major heart surgery. Her operation is scheduled for August 18th at Stanford in California, and we’ll be there until September 14th. This means our family will be away from home in Hawaii for almost a month. The costs are overwhelming: we need help covering medical bills, travel, lodging, food, and our regular bills back home while we’re unable to work.
We are so grateful that Riley is getting this chance for a healthier future, and we’re hopeful this surgery will correct her heart problem. Thank you so much for your love and support during these hard times. Every donation helps us focus on Riley’s recovery and brings us closer to seeing her thrive.
