Our amazing Riley is in need of an Adaptive Tricycle(Durable Medical Equipment).

We’re hoping to surprise him with an adaptive tricycle under the Christmas tree — something that would give him independent mobility and a whole lot of joy. Ordering durable medical equipment for children with special abilities and developmental challenges is always tough. While we are optimistic(but still waiting!) we do believe Riley will be approved for his walker. However, the tricycle will not be approved.

Riley's cerebral palsy symptoms affect the tone and spasticity in his legs, and this adaptive tricycle has been a game changer for him in therapy. It’s one of the few ways he can get around more freely at this stage and feel and play like a little boy. We and Riley's therapy team believe it is a tremendous help to him now and an investment into the future of his mobility.
