This fundraiser is for my cousin, Riley. One of her beloved pups, Riku, went missing on April 3, 2026, from their campsite in the desert of Southern Utah after chasing off some deer. His brother came back, but he didn't.
We’ve been doing everything we can from afar to help her endure this heart-wrenching and expensive search for him, but we could use your help too! Any little bit will help move mountains and get this sweet boy back to his mama, who misses and needs him so badly.
To date, Riley’s tried professional trackers/trappers, thermal drone pilots, trail cams, scent stations, flyers, social media, and we've called every local business in the surrounding area to spread the word and keep an eye out—everything. We’ve tried everything, and Riley and my Aunt Julie (her mom) have spent so much money already on every resource I mentioned above. Riku could be anywhere, and every time Riley goes out to search the rural area, she loses service, and we lose her, too.
Our next step is to try to help Riley get internet out to her campsite, so she can set up some proper cameras which will enabe her to monitor in real-time, safely from a friend's home. The trail cams she’s tried previously aren’t connected to the internet and have to be manually checked every day. It’s an emotionally and physically draining process.
The equipment and everything needed to get Riley set up will be, unfortunately, costly too—on top of everything so far—including the hourly price for costly, but crucial flyover searches. This setup will give her the peace of mind that will allow her to leave the campsite and stay in a nearby proper home, and get some much-needed rest, safe from the elements—while still being able to check in for sightings of Riku.
Riley is so worried about her baby, and her friends and family are worried about her. Thank you so much in advance for anything you're able to give. There have been ZERO REPORTED SIGHTINGS. I am heartbroken and devastated that I still haven’t found my boy. I am begging, please keep an eye out for him and report ANY POTENTIAL SIGHTINGS I am out here day and night looking for him.
LAST SEEN: 4/3 6:30pm at the end of BLM rd 0104 chasing deer east in the direction of Angel Point. Tracks found at water sources, cameras placed but no sightings. ‼️MICROCHIPPED‼️NO COLLAR‼️
I have had a professional thermal drone pilot searching day and night on multiple occasions. I am working with a professional humane dog trapper as well. No sightings.
‼️HOME OWNERS‼️ PLEASE check any security cameras you have up around your property, at this point he may have moved closer to town (Hanksville) and may be hiding around someone’s property. Sightings are most common between 10PM-6AM.
