Riley is my son, and he’s always been passionate about languages. He can and will talk your ear off about his love of linguistics, and he’s dreamed of traveling somewhere he can truly immerse himself in a new language and culture. In the spring of 2027, Riley has the chance to go on a school trip to Japan—a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that would let him experience everything he’s studied and dreamed about firsthand.

Unfortunately, this year has been tough for our family. Riley’s mom lost her job twice, and with only one income, we simply can’t afford the cost of the trip. We had always hoped to be able to provide opportunities like this for Riley ourselves, but right now, we need a little help from our community to make his dream possible.

The funds raised will go directly toward the cost of the trip, which covers a native tour director, transportation, breakfast and dinner, hotel, and tours.
