Help Riley and his Family Rebuild After Fire

My uncle Riley and his wife Danielle and their 3 little ones, Elise, Bridget, and Rocky, were working outside cleaning up their property when an ember from a burn barrel landed near a shed which quickly caught fire. Within minutes, the fire had engulfed the shed and spread to the rest of their nearby structures, including their family home, all of which were unfortunately uninsured.

Between trying to extinguish the fire and getting their children to safety, Riley and Danielle were unable to save anything from the fire except a work laptop and their cars.

Riley and Danielle had spent 2 years and invested countless hours of hard labor in building this small, humble property for their three children. All those years of sacrifice and all their earthly positions disappeared in smoke as they helplessly watched. We thank the Lord for their protection. Riley’s neighbor took him to the ER where he was treated for minor burns to his hands and face but overall everyone is in good health and safe.

This has broken all our hearts for them, and there has been an outpouring of love and desire to help this family in their time of need which they are so grateful for. I figured this would also benefit them, even if it is small. It’s the least I can do for them and allows a way for those who want to help lift them out of this terrible experience.

Riley is more of a brother to me and his wife is like an older sister. Their kids feel like my own siblings. I had the privilege of visiting them in their home in August and they were doing so well. In fact, they had just completed a little building they were so proud of last week. They had just got it stocked and full of food storage right before this happened.

I love them so much. They are already so resilient and I want to see them back on their feet again. No donation is too small and their little family will be so thankful for your love and support. Riley would just like to reiterate that he doesn't want money necessarily, rather, he wants people to grow closer to the Savior by living the right way and preparing for His return, as well as being grateful for what you have in the here and now because it can all be taken in an instant.
