I am starting this campaign because last night someone broke into a friends car by shattering their window and stole my work bag which contained my MacBook, a hard drive, film camera with film containing valuable images, my personal journal and all my teaching materials for class. I’m devastated, again, for losing items that are vital to my livelihood and the key tools to me making a living as a freelance photographer. This is weighing on me heavily because it’s the second time someone has robbed me and it feels like a personal attack from an uncontrollable source. 


I know that I must replace my things as soon as possible. I wish that I had insurance on my equipment,  but honestly I support myself 100% by myself solely off of freelance photography  work. I pay for health insurance and dental insurance by myself and  could not afford renters insurance when I had to choose between that and my health earlier this year. So my computer is not covered and I must buy another one.

My work is strongly focused around community/family & I’m asking for support from my community. I would be so grateful if you could help me repurchase my equipment in order to continue creating at such a critical time in my practice.
