Riham Matar is a Lebanese nurse, who works in a neonatal intensive care unit of a Beirut hospital. She's responsible for paying the bills for her mother, father, brother, and 2 sisters.

The explosion which destroyed Beirut's port on August 4th has devastated her family. In a matter of seconds, both her car and her home in the neighborhood of Karentina close to the port were destroyed. Their fridge, stove, washing machine, and even their clothes have all been damaged. 

Riham was already struggling before this current crisis. The Lebanese pound has lost 80% of its value over the last several months, and currently she's only making around $100 USD for her and her entire family every month. 

The amount of money necessary for basic repairs to her family home and her car will cost around $1500, money she doesn't have but which is necessary for the basic survival of her and her family. 

This explosion has destroyed the lives of thousands of people in Beirut, and your contribution will concretely help Riham and her family stay in their home, repair their windows, and try to return to some semblance of normality.
