Friends and family, I humbly ask for prayers, healing, and assistance as my beloved uncle is in dire need. 

Rigoberto Rivera or Rigo has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer: adenocarcinoma (colorectal primary tumor), reactive leukocytosis (anemia), kidney injury (dehydration), and hypothyroidism AMONGST other diagnoses/problems. 

In short, metastatic colon cancer involving the liver and lungs. 

Rigo is 49 years young. Being the youngest sibling, Rigo takes joy in the simple pleasures of life. From what I’ve gathered being around him is: He likes playing scratchers, watching action and scary movies, and eating his favorite pies from Marie Callender's. 

Myself and what Rigo calls, his other mother, (Mary) have been very attentive and keeping a close eye BUT it is not enough. As we are in and out of doctors appointments and seeking some sort of remedy or treatment for Rigo; we know the inevitable is possible. 

I put complete trust in the Lord and know I am doing my best in helping my uncle during these difficult times but I do not know what lies ahead and I try not to think of it.

My question to anyone reading this, ...can you help?

About me: My name is Mari Valentin, niece to Rigo. I am acting as his pro-bono fundraiser. I have been asked by a few siblings of Rigo in creating a GoFundMe page. All funds will be only for Rigo Rivera and for the sole purpose in aiding in his situation. I hope in creating this GoFundMe page to help raise money for costs arising from treatment/medical expenses, and to allocate monies if and when the unfortunate arises. I will not take any portion of any funds raised.
