Riggs has been in my life for a little less than a year, he's my child and my whole world. The thought of him not being in my life is unbearable and I have had to make the unfortunate decision between paying for this surgery or losing him to this accident.
On Monday night, Riggs was hit by a car. The accident left him with two broken back legs and bruising in his ribs and lungs. Seeing him in pain has been heartbreaking, and I’m doing everything I can to make sure he gets the care he needs. The veterinarians have told me that Riggs will need orthopedic surgery to have any chance at a healthy, happy life. The procedure is complex and costly, but it’s his best hope for a full recovery.
The cost of Riggs’s surgery is overwhelming, and I can’t do it alone. I am a single renter and a little while ago I had to put down my cat of 10 years. I never thought I would find myself in this situation but I have decided its necessary to reach out for support to help Riggs get the surgery he needs and come home to heal. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference for Riggs and help him get back to the loving, playful pup he’s always been. Thank you for reading our story and for any help you can give.
