Help Riehl Ohana with Cancer Treatment

Aloha friends and family,

As some of you may know, Chris Riehl has been diagnosed with cancer. He and Renee recently received news that it has progressed quickly, and to a point that doctor’s have deemed incurable. His doctors have recommended treatments, however, they have relayed that such remedies will not cure him, but can prolong Chris’ life another 6 months to 2 years. This is a fight they say he cannot win.

Being on Maui, there are limited options in terms of cancer treatment. The Riehl’s are looking to receive a second opinion, researching specialists who specifically treat this rare cancer. Doing so will require a substantial amount of travel and accommodations on the mainland - in addition to the accumulated medical costs already incurred from the numerous scans, doctors visits, and surgeries thus far.

Over the years, Chris has influenced so many of our lives. As a Creative Director at Mirada and Trailer Park he has not only given himself wholly to countless teams within the post production world (artists, directors, agencies, clients, producers, and so many more), but his work has also given way for his talent and unrivaled passion to permeate the world. I believe all who have come to know Chris - as a confidant, mentor, colleague - can agree that his immense love, dedication, energy, and empathy for others, which flow from him so genuinely, will be deeply cherished forever.

It is because of who Chris is - has been - to all of us who know him (even briefly) that we want to give back to him in this time of need.

Given the profuse finances required — medical expenses, travel, accommodations, etc. — our goal is to raise funds for the Riehl Ohana to use toward anything they may need. As Chris has given to so many others, we wish to do the same, and provide aid and relief during this emotionally, physically, and financially difficult time.
