Imagine being completely cut off from the people you love most. Imagine waking up every day in a cold ICE detention facility with no connection to the world. The Shwe family is currently facing one of the hardest moments of their lives. The parents are still detained by immigration (ICE) and the sons case is still pending. Their son is detained separately from the parents, who are detained by ICE in a completely different facility. Without ANY contact between each other. This situation has placed a heavy emotional and financial burden on everyone involved. Ridwan’s parents are unable to work or support him during this time, and the costs related to legal representation, bond, and basic necessities are overwhelming.

Ridwan is a hardworking, kindhearted young man who has always shown love and respect to his family and community. His parents have always been the foundation of the family. Anyone who knows them can tell you how much they value family and right now, he needs our help to be reunited with the people he loves most.
