Hello, I’m back coaching baseball! This time it’s for the Ridgefield Thunderbird Spring HS team - a great group of kids that didn’t make the HS team and for whom baseball is their 2nd sport. They just want to “play ball” and “have fun.”

We don’t yet have a catcher or a kid on the team that owns catcher’s gear. That’s the primary reason for the urgent fundraising. We have our first practice this Friday, April 4, and our first game is this Sunday, April 6. I want to show up to the first practice with the gear.

You will also see I want to buy a bell so we can “ring the bell for Wyatt” after the game for exhibiting outstanding sportsmanship, and “ring the bell for Tommy” for that clutch double, and “ring the bell for Eddie” for going down swinging instead of taking a called first strike. I also added money for an end-of-year pizza party, scorecards, practice balls, and of course, a whistle!

And now that we covered most of our expenses, we can use money to pay the UMPS and defray other league costs.

Any donation will help.

If we raise over $1000, I will donate the balance back to Ridgefield Little League.
