Many of you know my husband, Ricky Spanish, as someone who has always shown up for others with a kind heart, a helping hand, and a generous spirit. Today, I’m writing this because, for the first time, we’re in an urgent situation where he needs the support of our community.

Ricky was recently diagnosed with lateral recess stenosis, a condition where the spinal nerves are compressed as they pass through small openings in the spine. This has caused him significant pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness, making it nearly impossible for him to continue his work. After getting his MRI results, doctors have now advised that he needs surgery as soon as possible.

This surgery will not only require a hospital stay but also up to 8 weeks of recovery at home, along with physical therapy to help him regain his strength. Since Ricky is self-employed, this has created a major financial burden on us. Over the past three weeks, while he has been unable to work, we’ve already had to dip deeply into our savings. Looking ahead at the time he’ll need to recover, we know we can’t carry this on our own.

That’s why we’re asking for your help. We are setting a goal of $10,000 to help cover medical bills, living expenses, and the weeks of lost income while Ricky recovers. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward keeping us afloat during this difficult time.

Ricky has always been someone who gives so much without ever asking for anything in return. Now, we’re humbly asking for your generosity, prayers, and support to help him get through this surgery and back on his feet.
