Help Ricky Heal: Overcoming Medical Challenges

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my husband, Ricky, who recently went through something we never could have prepared for so soon after our marriage! He began experiencing severe pain and after several hospital visits and tests, we received the news that he had developed diverticulitis. Unfortunately, it had already progressed to a perforation in his colon, which caused an abscess and infection that required immediate hospitalization and then surgery.

Ricky underwent a life-saving procedure to remove his sigmoid colon and drain the abscess. We are still waiting to see if there are any answers as to why this happened and progressed so rapidly. While the doctors were able to act quickly and successfully, the recovery process will be long and difficult. He will be out of work for at least the next 1 to 2 months, and while we are staying positive and focused on his healing, the financial stress from unexpected medical expenses, hospital bills, and everyday necessities has started to weigh on us.

We know times are tough for so many people right now, and we truly understand if you're not in a position to give.
