Help Ricky Heal: Support for Open-Heart Surgery & Recovery

Our hearts are heavy as we share this, our beloved friend, Ricky, a long-time and deeply valued member of our community, is facing an unexpected and life-altering medical battle. What started as a small infection became much more serious when the initial antibiotics did not work, allowing the infection to spread to his heart—resulting in a minor heart attack.

Doctors have determined that open-heart surgery is now necessary.

As you can imagine, this has been overwhelming physically, emotionally, and financially. Ricky has already been out of work for two weeks and is expected to be unable to work for an extended period as he undergoes surgery and begins a long road to recovery. During this time, medical bills, daily living expenses, and recovery-related costs continue to add up.

Anyone who knows Ricky knows how much he gives to others. He has spent years showing up for this community—with kindness, generosity, and an open heart. Now, he needs us to show up for him.
