I am writing to you today to request your help in raising money for my brother, Ricky, and his battle with kidney cancer. What was originally thought to be kidney stones turned out to be Stage 3 Kidney Cancer. He immediately contacted Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. The medical team was outstanding and explained the urgency in getting his right kidney removed as it had been overtaken by a large cancerous tumor. His right kidney was removed on June 14, 2024. After a short recovery and many tests, he was approved to begin treatments. He was then accepted into a clinical trial in addition to his other treatments. He has now been receiving treatments for the past nine months.

Ricky is married and has a 2-year-old daughter. He is only 39 years old. As a young family just getting started they were not prepared for the constantly increasing medical bills and the endless tests that are required now and in the future.

Ricky is the Head Brewer for a small brewery in Middletown, New York. Unfortunately the business doesn't offer medical insurance to their employees. I am asking for donations to help cover the costs of his medical appointments, transportation costs to his appointments in New York City and New Jersey, his treatments and medications, X-rays, CT scans, and the extensive laboratory testing that needs to be done for a cancer patient.

The cancer diagnosis has had a major impact on his wife, young daughter, and other family members as well. I hope you will consider making a donation to help Ricky with these expenses.
