I am Shawn, sister-in-law to Ricky Bush, and sister to Shalanda Bush. Over the past year and a half, Ricky fought hard against pancreatic cancer. With a positive mindset, he was adamant about never giving up and continuing the fight right until his last breath. After exhausting every plan his healthcare team offered, his body succumbed to the evil disease called cancer on Saturday, May 3, surrounded by his family and several friends in his home.

The past year and a half has been a financial struggle with multiple treatments and hospitalizations at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas, an hour away from their home. During that time, Ricky, who was the breadwinner of their family, was unable to work.

The goal of any donations would be to offset the medical bills that have incurred and help with funeral costs. They exhausted any money they had with the travel expenses for treatments and an attempt to pay the minimum due to continue treatment. Ricky leaves behind his wife of 17+ years and a 14-year-old daughter, Sarah.
