Ricky and Nell Anderson were severely impacted by the flooding at their home on Oatmeal Creek near Bertram, TX in the early hours of Sunday, July 5th. They were swept away by the rushing waters as they attempted to evacuate and lost both vehicles, their wallets, home, phones, medication, etc. Honey Bee (Nell’s little dog) was unfortunately washed away out of Nell’s arms, but Ringo, their Labrador, survived. As the rushing water overwhelmed them, they were able to cling to trees for hours until the water receded and thankfully neighbors came to their aid.
Their home is devastated as the water was up to 6 feet high in parts of the house. They are recovering, and we are praying for fast healing. They now face the overwhelming mountain of restarting their lives from scratch.
Getting new phones, access to accounts, vehicles, etc., has been challenging. Help them get back on their feet while they replace immediate necessities including clothes and prescription glasses. Thank you for your love, support, and prayers.
