Hi everyone — my name is Ricky, and this coming spring, my brother Andrew and I have been given an incredible chance: to go on an EF Educational Tour through Fountain-Fort Carson High School to Scotland & Ireland. We’re writing to ask for your help in making this once-in-a-lifetime

opportunity possible.

What the Program Is

This isn’t a vacation—it’s an immersive educational experience through EF Tours. Here’s what we’ll be doing:

Destinations: We’ll visit Dublin & Belfast in Ireland, then travel on to Scotland including Edinburgh and the Highlands, Stirling, Loch Ness, and more. (EF Tours)

History & Culture: We’ll see old sites like castles (Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle), walk the Royal Mile, visit the Titanic Belfast museum, explore St. Patrick’s Cathedral, go through Old Town Edinburgh, and get a feel for both ancient and modern culture mixed together. (EF Tours)

Guided Learning: We’ll have expert local guides, a full-time tour director, teaching before, during, and after the trip, so that we don’t just see places, but truly learn from them. (EF Tours)

All-Inclusive Support: The program includes airfare & transportation, hotels, many meals, entrances to historic sites, walking & sightseeing tours — everything needed so we can focus on learning and experiencing. (EF Tours)

Why This Means So Much to Us

For our family, this is something our parents never even imagined being possible. It’s not just about travel—it’s about breaking barriers and stepping into parts of the world we’ve read about, but never believed we’d get to see in person.

For us, this kind of experience will shape how we understand the world. It will give us history, art, culture, people, languages and experiences that no textbook or classroom here could fully replicate.

We plan to bring back what we learn and share it — in school, community, with younger students — so that this trip doesn’t just benefit us, but others too.

What We Need & How Funds Will Be Used

To fully participate in this trip and get the full benefit, we need help with:

Round-trip airfare, plus transportation once in Europe

Lodging, food, and daily expenses while abroad

Fees for entrance to museums, castles, tours, and other educational stops

Passport, possibly visas or travel documents, insurance, supplies

$10-$25 can help with local transit or snack/meal costs

$50-$100 could cover entrance fees or contribute meaningfully toward hotel / lodging
