Hi everyone, this is a fundraiser for myself to fly home to Canada for two weeks, then retun to my amazing job in Thailand.
As many of you know, I ran out of work opportunities in North America and moved here to teach English. I absolutely love it and will stay. However, a trip home in October to see family and friends is going to cost about two months gross salary.
- I’ll use this GoFundMe money for the round-trip flight which is just about $2000. Then add on local travel expenses once I get to Canada.
- I have a packed agenda based on time and money. I'll fly back to Ottawa to see my son and visit with my 613 friends.
- Then I'm off to Maynooth to check out the dome and relax at Lucy and Jenn's cabin in the woods for as long as they can stand me.
- I'm very excited to see my daughters in Peterborough or Durham. I left so fast I didn't have a chance to say a proper good bye.
- Then bypass Toronto as fast as possible to hang with family in Kitchener Waterloo, then end up in Windsor for some proper Windsor pizza, and dare a border run.
- In Michigan, there will be biscuits and gravy and fried chicken at the Cracker Barrel to meet my American cousins across the new Gordie Howe Bridge, assuming orange-man gets out of the way and lets it open.
