Rick Stulc is a fun-loving dad, step-dad, grandpa, husband, and brother who's deeply loved by his whole family. When we found out about his diagnosis of cancer, the news devastated us all. With this being terminal, it's worse, plus he's a veteran. He's able to get treatment, but he has to travel to Mexico to receive it. This treatment has an 80% to 90% success rate. We set up a GoFundMe page for my dad. Please, if you can find it in your heart to donate or even spread his story, we'd be beyond eternally grateful for donations or just spreading the word. With love, the Stulc family.
This cancer originally started in my stomach. Originally, 2 1/2 years ago, I was diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer the size between a nickel and a quarter by an upper G.I. scope. It was caused by bacteria, and I was treated with antibiotics. A month later, another G.I. scope and then another tissue sample were taken. I was pronounced cured. Two years later, my primary care doctor didn't like my bloodwork and sent me for an ultrasound. They saw some swelling in the tissue around the bile ducts and thought I might need a gallbladder operation. I was sent for a PET scan, and then another upper G.I. and another sponge were taken. It was determined I had stage four metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma cancer. A PET scan with radiation determined the cancer had gotten into my lymph nodes. I was treated with chemo, and that cleared the lymph nodes. An immunotherapy was used to see if that would work; it didn't, and I am back on chemo. I found a clinic in Mexico that specializes in stomach cancer, but I need funds to pay for the trip and the treatment. If you can find it in your heart to donate, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I find that this chemo has shown an 80% to 90% success rate, and I believe I really need this treatment. Thank you and God bless.
