GoFundMe Campaign: Help Rick Restore His Home Utilities and Return Home Before Christmas

A year and a few weeks ago, I became gravely ill with pancreatitis—an illness that lasted over three and a half months and left me unable to work. Many of my family members and close friends know about that difficult time, but what most people don’t know is how much it’s affected my living situation.

While I’ve been recovering and rebuilding my life, the bills never stopped. I receive disability income, but it isn’t enough to cover everything—especially the past-due balances for my utilities. I had started another GoFundMe to help launch my business, hoping to use part of those funds to restore my utilities, but that hasn’t come through yet.

Now I’m being fully transparent and asking for help. I’ve been away from my home for eight months, and I want to go back. I need power, water, and gas restored so I can return home and keep moving forward in faith.

My goal is $5,000 — $2,500 to get the utilities turned back on, and another $2,500 to help keep them on while I finish the book I’m writing—one that I believe will help me build lasting stability and bless others.

My hope is to be home by Thanksgiving, but if not, then before Christmas. I’m trusting God to make a way through the kindness of others who feel led to help.
