Help Rick Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
On April 21st, Rick Buckingham lost everything in a devastating fire. His motorhome—his only place to live—burned down. The fire destroyed his home and nearly all of his belongings.
Rick is disabled and lives on a fixed income, which makes recovering from a loss of this scale extremely difficult. Like many people living modestly, he wasn’t in a position to carry full insurance coverage on his home. Though he was able to save a few items—his car, a couple of tools, and some personal belongings—he lost everything else: clothing, bedding, important documents, daily essentials, and his place to live.
One of the most heartbreaking losses was Rick’s Harley—a bike he had worked on and poured years of love and care into. It was a symbol of freedom, joy, and pride, and losing it has been an especially heavy blow.
Despite not having much, Rick has always been resourceful and generous. He’s kind, loving, and friendly to everyone he meets. Over the years, he’s made consistent efforts to help those around him—even when he didn’t have much to give. He’s incredibly humble and would never ask for help but we know he could truly use it.
We’re raising funds to help Rick:
• Find a new place to live—whether it’s a small RV, trailer, or another permanent solution
• Replace essentials like clothing, bedding, hygiene items, and tools
• Cover emergency and recovery expenses in the weeks ahead
If you’re able to give or share, your support would mean so much. Rick shouldn’t have to face this loss alone, and together we can help him take the first steps toward rebuilding his life.
Thank you for your love and kindness.
