Hi my name is Melissa I’m starting a fundraiser for my husband and love of my life, Rick, who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

 

We are hoping that there are philanthropists and friends out there who want to help my husband. Rick does not want to fight cancer. He wants to be cured of cancer.

Perhaps, there are just people out there who know him and what a good man he is, what a kind person he is, what a patient person he is, what an exceptional listener he is, what an important difference he makes in the lives of our four children and working with special need teens daily at his job, people who love him, and want to make a contribution to save his life.

 

Background 

When Rick was diagnosed with prostate cancer the scientist in me began feverishly researching options.

 We went to the Utopia Cancer Center in Oldsmar, Fl, hopeful that we would find a way to pay for his treatment. Their treatment protocol is very intensive and includes: hydrotherapy, lymphatic massage, FAR infrared sauna, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, magnetic oxygen therapy, radio frequency therapy, multi wave oscillator therapy, nutraceuticals (liquid multivitamin, vitamin D three, coral calcium, caster oil with flannel for liver detox, curcuma NF-kB, ubiquinol, Nattokinase to name a few) and weekly diagnostic testing to see how he is progressing. He would be treated five days a week for four hours a day for at least six weeks depending on his diagnostics. This fundraiser will cover those costs. We were very uplifted to learn about it and remain hopeful and eager for him to start his treatment, get rid of the catheter, stop his pain, and be cured of the cancer.
