Rick and Carolyn Bernier tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after Thanksgiving. A week or so later, Rick began to feel worse and went to the ER to check his lungs and oxygen levels. Things looked okay that day so he was sent home, but a series of unusual symptoms began showing up in the following days resulting in 4 additional trips to the ER, several tests,  medications, and procedures. He is currently on oxygen 24 hours a day, but is thankfully able to rest and recover at home.
Among the additional symptoms, he's been experiencing bladder and prostate issues. He is not able to meet with the urologist again until he no longer needs oxygen, so for now we are uncertain about the cause. We do know he will most likely need surgery.
He has been very weak, tired, and discouraged the last few weeks as we have continued to pray for his full recovery. Our beautiful mother, Carolyn, has done her best to care for him as she continues to recover as well. 
Rick was let go from his job earlier this year. He was able to secure another job just a few weeks ago, however he doesn't have any sick pay and his benefits don't kick in until February 1st.
Any money donated will go directly to paying for his previous trips to the ER, medications, tests, oxygen, and any other appointments or procedures needed before February 1st.
We love our dad and grandpa so much, and are praying for his burdens to be lifted and his body to fully recover.  All prayers and donations are appreciated.
