Help Rick as he fights Stage 4 Lung cancer

Hi my name is Aidan, Rick’s son. My dad was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to his brain and bones. He’s currently in the ICU waiting to have the tumor removed from his brain and then he’ll start chemo and radiation. He stopped working a couple weeks ago when all this started and because of upcoming surgery and treatment, he won’t be able to work for an extended period of time.

This caught us all by surprise and unfortunately my dad won’t have enough income coming in to pay his bills. We’re hoping to raise enough so he can pay his registration to get to appointments, mortgage, and catch up on bills while we wait for disability or social security payments.

If anyone knows my dad, you know this will kill his pride but anything helps. We don’t want him to have any additional stress while he fights for his life.

Update from my Dad: Hello my amazing people! Yeah YOU!! Yes I’m talking about YOU!!! Words cannot express my sincere thanks and gratitude for your support and prayers since my stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis. Your kindness, love and generosity has been an enormous blessing. I will be forever indebted!❤️ Quick update on my journey: I had successful surgery to remove the brain tumor early April. We have radiation therapy scheduled to start in a couple weeks on the brain tumor which is precautionary! Started chemotherapy for the lung cancer a couple weeks ago but was hospitalized a few days after the procedure with pneumonia. We are not sure if it’s a result of the treatment or not. I meet with the oncologist this week for the next steps on chemo therapy and will keep you posted. I wake up every morning with gratitude and thanks for another day. I know that today is not an entitlement or owed to me. I’ll admit that it’s a challenge some days to just get moving but I rest assured knowing that I have my Creator on my side!!!❤️ I’ll end with this! My body may get beat up over the next weeks and months but I won’t let it beat up my spirit or steal my joy! Nothing like having the Armor of God on your side!!! God willing, we will be victorious over this illness if not, His word in Luke promises this: “Truly I say to you, ‘today you will be with me in paradise.'”
