Help Rick and Nirva After Wildfire
Donation protected

Rick and Nirva immigrated to the United States in the late 70s and settled in Los Angeles to pursue the American Dream. They worked hard as a chemist and an accountant and bought a little fixer-upper on Highland St. in Pasadena for themselves and their two boys, Richie and Charles.
In the decades since, that little house became a home to their parents as they aged, their sons, many extended family members, and a second home to their precious granddaughters, Antoinette and Alexandria. After living there nearly 45 years, on January 8th, that home was consumed by the Eaton Fire, one of the wildfires sweeping the Los Angeles community.
Rick and Nirva escaped the blaze with the clothes on their backs, their memories, their lives, and nothing else. Their beloved home, irreplaceable mementos, family heirlooms, and even Rick's carefully tended garden perished in the flames. Despite this unimaginable loss, their spirits remain strong, but the journey ahead is overwhelming.
We're close friends of the family, Brandon (partner of Rick and Nirva's son Charles) and Stacy (best friends with Charles since 6th grade at St. Elizabeth's in Altadena).
We've launched this fundraiser to show them they're not alone; that people around the country and around the world care about the recent devastation of Los Angeles communities; and to help them with their temporary needs as they get back on their feet. We so appreciate your kindness and support.
With gratitude,
