Help Rick and Carol Sutherland with medical costs

My Dad is very ill.  He has always been a very active person, but he was diagnosed with pancytpoenia and it has left him weak and unable to do much other than sleep. The pancytopenia means that he has low counts for all three types of blood cells—red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. It has caused severe anemia and a weakened immune system, which makes him more prone to serious infections.  He is being treated right now for a bacterial infection and is in the hospital.

 My parents are proud people, but they need help with current and ongoing expenses as the underlying cause of the pancytopenia has not been discovered.  Many tests have been performed, but it is likely that many more tests will be needed. And there will likely be more hospitalizations as his condition worsens. 

If a cause (and therefore a treatment course) cannot be found, his outlook is grim. My parents have been married for over 50 years and this is a devastating possibility for my Mom and our family. 

Please help if you can. My mom would never ask, but they are not wealthy people and could use some help.
